And a big Maywood bus picks up kids in Curtis.Crazy how that is in some of these towns! I've seen a Med Valley bus picking kids up in Maywood a few years back as well.

It’s really just silly Med Valley and Maywood aren’t one school. Frontier County High. And a big Maywood bus picks up kids in Curtis.
Updated list of what I'm still looking for:
I'm looking at getting the 8-man teams for the upcoming years sorted out (hopefully enrollment numbers are released soon). The following teams have not declared for 2022-2023 and have at least some possibility that they could be 8-man. Does anyone know what these schools are doing?

how many schools have declared 8 man that were 11 man last year and how will this shake up districts?Just down to a hand full of school to decide
Schools that were 11 man this year (last cycle) that will be 8 manhow many schools have declared 8 man that were 11 man last year and how will this shake up districts?
Has Palmyra declared? Rumor was they may go back to 11 man.Schools that were 11 man this year (last cycle) that will be 8 man
Bridgeport
Sutton (Same district as Sandy Creek)
Sandy Creek (Same district as Sutton)
Twin River
BRLD (Co-Op dissolved, both will probably be in D2.)
Amherst is the lone school moving from 8 man to 11 man.
I noticed Deshler is moving up to 8 man from 6 man as well.
Spalding Academy falls out of 6 man as they are now co-oping with Riverside.
Has it been confirmed that the NSAA has decided to try and split C2 and C1? To help balance out the classes?
Crofton is dropping to 8man as well.Schools that were 11 man this year (last cycle) that will be 8 man

Tri County moving up to 11 man also has been reported on these boardsCrofton is dropping to 8man as well.
Amherst is declared 11 man.
Heard Palmyra, West Holt, and LHNE will be going up to 11 man.
Any word on Conestoga? Or the new Bronwell-Talbot co-op? Both will have heavy 11 man numbers but will probably opt down to 8 man?
I noticed Crofton declared for 8 man too. Palmyra hasn't officially declared 11 man yet. Neither has West Holt or Tri County or LHNE.Has Palmyra declared? Rumor was they may go back to 11 man.
Yes all of class C will be split in half to form C1 and C2.
The decision to split C1 and C2 was voted through the membership in the last legislative cycle.I noticed Crofton declared for 8 man too. Palmyra hasn't officially declared 11 man yet. Neither has West Holt or Tri County or LHNE.
I just haven't see any ruling that said they were going to split the classes. You'd figure the NSAA would have had that in one of their board meeting minutes.
Thank you for clarifying that. So we will see some teams from C1 come down to C2. Interesting to see how that shakes out.The decision to split C1 and C2 was voted through the membership in the last legislative cycle.
Page 25 of the current football manual has a yellow highlighted section that states:
NOTE: Starting with the 2022/2023 Classification Cycle
*After Class A and Class B are determined, eligible Class C1 and Class C2 schools playing 11-man football are divided up into two classes with approximately equal numbers of schools in each class. Odd number added to C2.
with teams moving in from 8-man to 11-man, you may only see the bottom two or three come downThank you for clarifying that. So we will see some teams from C1 come down to C2. Interesting to see how that shakes out.
There will be a lot more changes than two or three. The last cycle had 43 in C1 and 32 in C2. If there is an odd number the odd number goes to C2. There are also a handful of B teams that may fall into C1 which will cause a trickle down effect of even more C1 coming down into C2.with teams moving in from 8-man to 11-man, you may only see the bottom two or three come down
I forgot about teams leaving. you are correct Probably safe to say C2 will be 80 downThere will be a lot more changes than two or three. The last cycle had 43 in C1 and 32 in C2. If there is an odd number the odd number goes to C2. There are also a handful of B teams that may fall into C1 which will cause a trickle down effect of even more C1 coming down into C2.
Between new schools coming in from the bottom (Amherst and maybe Tri-County, LHNE, and West Holt), seven known teams from the current C2 going to 8 man, and teams from C1 coming down, C2 may have a dozen or so new teams.
I have compiled a list for what Class C would look like before the split. I see it as a maximum 78 teams. I only see teams being subtracted from the list. The list is in order based on the last cycle order but numbers used are from last December. We don't have official numbers yet so you can't just cut it in half accurately.I forgot about teams leaving. you are correct Probably safe to say C2 will be 80 down

That’s why I noted everything above the list and said that I just took the list from the last cycle and you can’t just take it and split it. We don’t have new numbers yet so there’s no sense in trying to guess the split. I also took Shelton off their name. But at least you have an idea of how many teams there will be.Wood river/Shelton is no more. Wood river will be solidly in c-2.
Thanks. Number will probably go up as more teams drop to 8 man, you think? I was hoping someone more analytical than me had looked at it. I would guess all the key decisions are done. The cutoff last cycle was 36, but it is a bit of a moving target
